PRISM has developed an interoperability specification to standardize data exchange between PRISM Data Partners and immunization registries. This report describes a pilot study of the use of Health Level 7 (HL7) Message-Exchange with one Mini-Sentinel/PRISM Data Partner and one Immunization Information System (IIS) registry, with a view to future implementation of HL7 as a standard method of data exchange between all participating Data Partners and IIS registries.
