Description
Common Data Models (CDMs) are essential for generating scalable and reproducible real-world evidence across diverse healthcare systems, yet harmonizing datasets remains a major challenge. This symposium examined the complexities of aligning healthcare databases for CDM implementation, from national coordination to international integration. Experts discussed barriers to harmonization, including data variability and resource demands, and offer practical strategies to support regulatory and clinical decision-making through effective CDM use. It was presented at the 2025 ISPE Annual Meeting.
