Harmonizing Electronic Health Records from Heterogeneous Systems via Automated Translation of Medical Concepts

• Ensuring harmonization and interoperability of data across multiple settings is a critical feature of the Sentinel System and other data networks. Yet, conventional approaches to data harmonization can be resource intensive and error-prone. A novel code translation algorithm may offer a scalable and automated approach for improving the semantic interoperability and harmonization of electronic health record data. This webinar will introduce this new method and discuss its potential applicability to Sentinel.
