Characterization of Infants in the Mother-Infant Linkage Table in the Sentinel Distributed Database: An Updated Descriptive Analysis

In this analysis, we describe infants in the Mother-Infant Linkage (MIL) table of the Sentinel Distributed Database (SDD) paired to a mother via a live-birth delivery in the MIL table, as well as infants without paired mothers in the MIL table. This is a rerun of a prior query to gain additional data since its previous release in 2020. 

• Report 1: We distributed this request to all five Sentinel Data Partners that populated the MIL table on September 28, 2023. The study period included data from January 1, 2000 to December, 31, 2022.
• Report 2: We distributed this request to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services - Medicaid Data that populated the MIL table on November 7, 2023. The study period includes data from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2020. 
• Report 3: We distributed this request to four Sentinel Data Partners that populate the MIL table on September 28, 2023. The study period includes data from January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2022.
