Exploring Claims-Based Definitions of, and Characterizing Patients with, Respiratory Failure: A Descriptive Analysis

In these reports, we described patients with respiratory failure in the Sentinel Distributed Database (SDD) from the pre-COVID-19 era, the COVID-19 era, and both eras.

• Report 1: This report described patients with respiratory failure during the pre-COVID-19 era, the COVID-19 era, and both eras.
• Report 2: This report described patients with respiratory failure during only the pre-COVID-19 era and both eras.

The study period includes data from April 1, 2016 to April 30, 2021. We distributed this request to 14 Sentinel Data Partners (DP) on July 12, 2021.
