    Description

In this analysis we estimated start of pregnancy using in-vitro fertilization (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), and select prenatal tests among pregnancies resulting in a live-born delivery in the Sentinel Distributed Database (SDD). This request includes two reports:

    • Report 1: We estimated in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedure utilization by gestational age among pregnancies resulting in a live-born delviery. The study period included data from January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2017. We distributed the request to 16 Data Partners on May 23, 2018.
    • Report 2: We estimated utilization of prenatal tests of interest among pregnancies resulting in a live-born delivery and compared test-based algorithms for pregnancy start with the validated Medication Exposure in Pregnancy Risk Evaluation Program (MEPREP) algorithm. The study period included data from January 1, 2006 to January 31, 2018. We distributed the request to 16 Data Partners on August 15, 2018.
