In this analysis, we developed estimates of crude and age-standardized rates of myocardial infarction (MI) related death, stroke-related death, and sudden cardiac death (SCD) per 100,000 person-years among adults in the United States, using various algorithms and analyses to account for the time frame and care setting in which the patient died, and the way in which the patient's death was recorded. This analysis contains two reports:
- Report 1 contains data from three Data Partners that do not populate the Cause of Death table.
- Report 2 contains data from 11 Data Partners that do populate the Cause of Death table.
The study period includes data from January 1, 2000 to January 17, 2018. We distributed this request on January 25, 2018.
